As Christians, we tend to over spiritualize scripture, when clearly Paul warns the Believers who live during the final moments preceding the revelation of anti-Christ, that “deception by illusion” will dominate public perception with intent to prepare society at large, to receive the most diabolical deception yet to come.
While the Church is waiting for the false prophet to “call fire down from heaven” in order to deceive the nations, the greatest illusion is taking place, right under their spiritual unbelieving noses. Christians who attempt to hide from reality, in fear of acknowledgement of the truth, continue to embrace the illusions that are presented to them by corrupt media sources, which have influenced them, their pastors and much of the church leadership.
In all reality, the Church is witness to the exact manifestations of deception that Paul warned of and continues to slumber under the illusion of lies that are presented to them as truth, because many cannot believe that men could contrive such horrific events.
Notice that verse 9 clearly describes that these acts of deception command the necessary “power” to control “those who are perishing” and SHOULD NOT be infecting the perception of true Believers. With clarity, these “signs” and “lying wonders” are deluding society at large in order to prepare them for the “coming” of the “lawless one”. WAKE UP SHEEPLE!
